This Year I'm Endorsing Abundance! #Abundance2020
I’ve been throwing around the phrase “The personal is political.” since my first women’s studies class in college. I spent my twenties in progressive politics focusing on reproductive health, rights, and justice as an organizer and communications specialist. Along the way, I centered “politics”...whatever that means...instead of my personal needs and desires. And that shit wore me out! I believe that justice and liberation is something we can create everyday. We deserve rest and pay that allows us to not only live, but to thrive. We deserve joy and to pop off on white supremacy when it’s harming us.
We deserve to be seen as people and not just voters.
Abundance is ours. Right now. We don’t have to settle or wait for someone to come give it to us. I’m committed to centering people, specifically Black cis and trans women, and femmes during and beyond this election. I want to talk about the issues that we care about all 2020 and beyond. Honestly, the world needs to catch up to us.
Do I want y’all to vote in your primary and on November 3rd? Sure! But above all else, I want all of us to have enough resources to create change on our blocks regardless of who is in office. You’re in charge, beloveds! And for starters….f*ck these billionaires!
